Chennai girl Sindhuja Rajamaran holds the world record for being the India’s youngest CEO and 2D animator
When children of her age are mostly concerned about securing higher marks in exams, Sindhuja Rajamaran gone far ahead and enlisted her name into the Guinness World Record for being the India’s youngest CEO and 2D animator at the age of 14. She is the CEO of a Chennai-based animation company called Seppan.
Sindhuja Rajamaran was born on 27 January 1997 to a family of super achievers! Her father is the first digital caricaturist in Tamil Nadu and her younger sister is the youngest Indian to write haiku in India. Sindhuja has worked on all kinds of software – Flash, Photoshop, Corel Painter, After Effects and Maya. She has made short films on the issues like global warming and tuberculosis. Sindhuja Rajamaran now heads a team of 18-25 year olds at Seppan, which was founded in 2010.
It was Sindhuja’s father who instilled in her the passion to do animation and taught her the entire process. Sindhuja did her first animation project when she was in the sixth standard. Interestingly, Sindhuja Rajamaran is also a brand envoy of design software major Corel Software.
My father was the ambassador of Corel and one day the Indian Territory Manager of Corel came home to meet my dad. During this visit he noticed me drawing with Corel when I was 11 years old. While he was leaving, he said to my dad, ‘From now let this girl be the ambassador for Corel.’ I got invited to attend several launches of Corel products and got honoured as the youngest digital caricaturist and cartoonist.
19-year-old Sindhuja Rajamaran now dreams to run her own production house and deliver quality film products globally.
