Everyone should know self defense techniques!! With an aim to help women to learn unarmed combat, the Polish military is launching self-defense classes. The classes will be free nationwide and will be for the woman aged 18 or above who are in good health.

The army instructors will provide the training. The techniques will include defensive postures, how to break holds, and guards against kicks, strangulation and assaults with a weapon.

The aim is to teach women basic fighting techniques and, above all, improve overall physical fitness, says the Defense Minister Antoni Macierewicz.

The classes will start at 30 military facilities from November 19, 2016 up to June 3, 2017. It is the first time the military has offered such a nationwide program.
