Robin Hood Army

Robin Hood Army is a volunteer based organization, which is working on to minimize both the food wastage and hunger. They basically collect left-over food from hotels, restaurants and marriage parties and provide those food to the under privileged and needy people. Robin Hood Army has its reach in 40 cities in India and across the South Asian countries like Sri Lanka, Nepal and Pakistan.

Robin Hood Army Surat chapter was started on 2nd June 2016. So far, they have provided meals to more than 90,000 people. Every week, they visit slum areas and feed the hungry people. Recently, they have also provided more than 10,000 kg of food grains and 2000 pair of clothes to the flood affected people, residing in the village of Uttarnadi Khakar.

Robin Hood Army, Surat has a team of 150 Young and enthusiastic people. The team also conducts academic sessions for kids in the slum areas of Surat. They regularly visit the interior tribal villages near Surat and provide required things to them. Many restaurants, bakeries and catering persons are now associated with the Robin Hood Army.

On the occasion of 71st Independence Day, Robin Hood Army is going to feed 10 lakh people across 40 cities of India and Pakistan. The event named #mission1million, Xioami India will provide food grains for 5,00,000 people to Robin Hood Army.

Robin Hood Army is planning to distribute food for 21,000 people in Surat itself, with the help of their local food partners namely Round Table India and Mr. Dhokla. They are going to feed 1300 kids in government schools, 1000 people in slum areas and will provide more than 1600 kg food grains to the needy people which can feed 19,000 people.
