Inspiring young girls of Halifax on a mission to help the homeless with warm clothes

In the beautiful Halifax city, no homeless will be seen without warm clothes this winter. A group of eight young girls is taking initiative to help the homeless in the streets in Halifax.

All this began when Tara Smith-Atkins was thinking over the ideas to help the homeless stay warm during the coming winter months. Then she decided to ask her community for donation of winter garments in good shape. Within a short time, she had enough winter clothes to distribute among homeless. What more inspiring was when her eight-year-old daughter and seven of her daughter’s friends wrapped the poles in the streets of Halifax with winter coats, hats, and scarves, with a handwritten tag that reads ‘I am not lost. If you are stuck out in the cold, please take me to keep warm!’

The photos of fashionable street lamps with winter clothes have already gone viral on social media.
