An IAS-IPS couple from Himachal Pradesh to bear all the expenses of the daughter of martyr Paramjit Singh
The life of the family members of the soldiers isn’t easy at all. Soldiers spend most of their time away from family. And it becomes tougher when the family has to face the aftermath of the soldier’s sudden death; children are the worst sufferer. We can’t heal up their pain, but we can definitely do enough to help them cope up with the loss!!
The family of martyr Naib Subedar Paramjit Singh, who was beheaded by Pakistan in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on May 1, had at least something to cherish when an IAS-IPS couple drove from Himachal Pradesh to meet the grieved family and promised to support his 12-year-old daughter, Khushdeep Kaur.
Kullu Deputy Commissioner Yunus Khan and his IPS wife Anjum Ara, who is posted as superintendent of police, Solan offered to bear the Khushdeep’s expenses from school till her marriage, to ensure a good future for her. The couple met all the three children — Khushdeep, a student of Class 7; her twin brother Sahildeep Singh, and elder sister Simardeep Kaur, 15.
Khushdeep will continue to stay with her family. We will be paying for all her expenses and meeting her from time to time to know about her problems and solve them. If she wants to become an IAS or IPS officer or choose some other career, we are there to help, said Anjum Ara, SP of Solan district.
By ensuring a good education to his daughter, we are doing our duty as responsible citizens. It is up to Khushdeep whether she wants to continue studying at her village school or join some other school. We would be there for her throughout her life to help her in making decisions, said, Yunus Khan.
