Google hit its goal of raising $11 million for refugee relief, in less than 3 days
It just took less than three days for the world’s largest search engine Google, to hit its goal of raising 11 million dollars for refugee relief. It has given the raised funds as relief for the refugees pouring into the EU. Google launched a massive fundraising appeal for refugees and migrants last week and the entire world stepped up to the challenge.
Google has called for the donations and directed users to donate to four specific organizations – Doctors Without Borders, International Rescue Committee, Save the Children, and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. These nonprofits are helping deliver essential assistance like shelter, food and water, and medical care. These organizations are also looking after the security and the rights of people in need.
The crisis isn’t over. Your contributions can still provide critical relief for those in need. The Google page reads.
Although Google has stopped matching donations, but the tech giant is still encouraging people to keep donating.
