Chinese firm constructs 10 full-sized houses in one day using 3D Printing technology
3D printing technology, 21st century’s advent evolution in science, is mostly discussed today as the next big thing in technology world. While 3D printers are being considered as the modern era’s industrial robots, some debates and doubts over the 3D technology are still there regarding the capabilities of this technology. And all of a sudden, all those mostly discussed talks were left aside recently, when Chinese private firm WinSun Decoration Design Engineering constructed full-sized houses with the help of 3D printers.
The private Chinese firm claimed that their 3D printers can construct 10 full-sized houses in just 24 hours. The printers are each 10 meters (33 feet) wide and 6.6 meters (22 feet) high, which make the walls layer by layer. The material which is used in the construction is the mixture produced by using dry cement and construction waste.
It was published in one of the Chinese state news agency that since the material is inexpensive and there is no manpower costs involved, one house can be printed for less than USD 5,000.
WinSun CEO Ma Yihe, who has designed the printers, shared his view with Xinhue State News agency and said, ‘Creating 3D houses is cheaper and better for the environment, because the machines use recycled material.’
